The last month and a half have been a roller coaster ride. Tiffany has appeared to do better, then worse, then better, then worse, then better.A couple of weeks ago, she lost feeling and control in one side of her body. It returned slowly over the course of a few days. She started feeling bad again, and her urine turned a bizarre, copper color, and Tiffany ended up in the hospital. CAT scans show that the tumor has not grown a bit (which is unheard of with this type of tumor), and is a rather bizarre shape, looking like "a meteor, with craters all over it", instead of its usual smooth, rounded shape. The doctors haven't seen anything like it (remember, this includes one of the world's experts on this sort of tumor). The scans also showed no other tumor activity, anywhere.
She's been back home for about a week. She's in good spirits. Her face is still swollen, but much less than it was a while back. The best guess is still that this is because her lymph glands are blocked up, trying to deal with the dying tumor cells and white blood cells. This would account for the other problems as well. Her body just isn't able to deal with so much garbage being processed somewhere in her head.
